GUARISMO

Guarisimo is a subdivision of María La Baja, rural zone in the NUEVA FLORIDA area, in the Bolívar department, with a population of about 1.500, comprising of more than 70 families, living vulnerable conditions, the majority of whom were displaced by violence. The economy is based on cattle raising and farming.

There is one school for preschool and primary level education. However, few of the children go to school for the sole reason that their parents cannot afford basic school supplies such as pencils and notebooks, not to mention footwear and school uniform. .
